In 1803, President Thomas Jefferson purchased the territory of Louisiana from the French government for $15 million. The Louisiana Purchase stretched from the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains and from Canada to New Orleans, and it doubled the size of the United States. In order to provide enough land to sustain this ideal population of the people, the United States would have to continue to expand. The westward expansion of the United States is one of the defining themes of 19th-century American history, but it is not just the story of Jefferson’s expanding “empire of liberty.” On the other hand, westward expansion nearly destroyed the republic.![Picture](http://fightingoverland.weebly.com/uploads/5/1/0/6/51069689/385015427.png)
indian removal
Indian removal was a 19th-century United States policy of Indian relocation to Indian Territory. The policy traced its direct origins to the administration of James Monroe, though it addressed conflicts between whites and Indians that had been occurring since the 17th century, and were getting worse by the early 19th century as white settlers were increasingly pushing west. The Indian Removal Act was the key act that enforced Indian removal, and was signed into law by President Andrew Jackson on May 26, 1830![Picture](http://fightingoverland.weebly.com/uploads/5/1/0/6/51069689/105679559.png)
Age of jackson
The Age of Jackson is about Andrew Jackson and his presidency. Andrew Jackson was the sixth president of the United States he was well educated and wealthy even know he grew up poor in Carolina. But when he grew up and moved to Tennessee, and then he came a lawyer, politician, and a business owner. He was the first president from a state west of the original 13 colonies. At the time of his election only white male land owners could vote not women or African Americans. During his presidency he signed the Indian Removal Act which forced Indians living in the east of the Mississippi River to leave their homes. But the. John Marshall of the Supreme Court ruled that it was against the law to force the Cherokees to move. But Andrew Jackson ignored the ruling. In 1838, the U.S. Army forced the Cherokees to march 1,000 miles to Indian territory 1/4 of the Cherokees died during this march which was known as the "Trail of Tears."

At first the the immigration had no problems until more Jews immigrated to Palestine and wished to take over for a Jewish state. Eventually a fight broke out. So they have been fighting for that piece of land since 1947. Ever since 1947 that they have beEn fighting for thEre land the
what do all this have in common with iSraelis and palisTinians?
all of these have some Things in common witH the war against iSraelis and palestinians beacause durnig westward expansion, the indian removal act, and the aGe of jackson the were always Fighting for Whats thErEs like their land When they were trying to lose it to people who thought thAt it was okay to sell what was not theres like in the westward expansion some of the constraits were that they keep buying more and more land and so it ended up spreadin to other states and they thouGht it was okay to just steal and sell land that was not theres.
During the indIan removal act some of the constRaints that they had was that they indians were getting run out oF their own land and had no wAy to fight back so they lost most of theIr land, and then it got worse when andrew jackson became president because he signed the indian removal act which forced allyy indians tHat lived east of the MISSISSIPPI river to move out of their homes. Don't you ask what does this have in common with the War against israelis and palestinians. Well all these have in common with that war is that the all hAve to fight for what iS theIrs because the israelis and palestinians are SEPARATED by A huge wall. All this land Was all once the palestinians but over the years israelis hAs tooken iver just like Jefferson, monroe, and jackson took over the indianS land.
